• Early Childhood Programs

    Lawn Manor Primary Center

       

  • Early childhood programs are provided Lawn Manor Primary Center  These programs include early childhood special education services, as well as, Preschool For All. 

    Both half-day programs meet Monday through Friday and are located at Lawn Manor Primary Center. The morning session is offered from 8:30 a.m. -11:00 a.m.  The afternoon session is offered from 12:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m.  Transportation is provided by the district to all early childhood students who are eligible for special education services.   

  • The district provides screenings for children ages three through five years old.  The purpose of the screening is to identify all age three through five year old children who may have developmental delays and who would:

    1.  benefit from special education prior to the beginning of kindergarten and

    2.  might be at risk for academic difficulties due to environmental, cultural, or social-economic factors.

    The following areas of development are screened:  speech and language, motor skills, cognitive skills, social and emotional, vision, and hearing.

    Early childhood screenings are regularly scheduled throughout the school year.  Please contact Michelle Tosch, the Early Childhood Coordinator, at (708) 423-3078 or mtosch@ahsd125.org to schedule a screening.  Screenings are held at Lawn Manor Primary Center.  Parents are required to attend with their child.

    Children transitioning from Early Intervention services will be considered for participation in the district's early childhood programs.
