Ms. Korotkin

My name is Rachel Korotkin, but the students call me 'Ms. K.' This is my third year at Hamlin and I am very excited to be back! This year I am teaching 6th grade Social Studies, 7th grade Social Studies, as well as all grades of Art.

My Education

After suffering through 18 years of cold Michigan winters, I thought it was time for a change. I went to the University of Miami in Florida for my undergraduate studies where I received two Bachelor degrees. My Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art, with a minor in Art History, and my Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Production curated a strong background for my beginnings in education. After working for a few years in Museum Education, I decided to move to Boston, MA to earn my graduate degree from Tufts University. There, I received my Masters of Arts in Teaching, with a focus in Art Education. Recently, I have began a graduate certificate program at Johns Hopkins University to receive a certificate in Mind, Body, and Teaching.
