  • The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is one of the nation's premier organizations established to recognize outstanding students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Character, and Citizenship.

Students at Hamlin Upper Grade Center have the opportunity to apply for membership during their seventh grade year.  If a student meets all scholarship and character requirements, they will be allowed to complete and submit an application for membership.  Students who submit a completed application by the given deadline and who receive a 4.5 average rating from the Hamlin Faculty Council in both citizenship and character will be invited to participate in an induction ceremony for membership which typically takes place in April.

Eighth grade members must maintain their membership by completing fifteen service hours during their eighth grade year and by upholding pristine conduct both within and outside of school.

The NJHS advisor for Hamlin is Miss Pearson.  If you have any questions, you can contact her via email at lpearson@ahsd125.org.
