  • HOMEWORK

Check your child's take home folder everyday for homework, handouts and announcements.  In general, students will have a reading and spelling assignment each night.  Other homework will be assigned as needed in all subjects.  Students are given time in class each day to fill out planners with the day's homework.  In addition to any assigned homework, students should read and/or study math facts for at least 15 minutes each day.

Daily homework assignments are listed under the daily assignment section to the left.

  • SPELLING

Students will be given a pretest on the first day of the school week.  Students who receive a 100% or 93% on the pretest will not be required to take the unit test for the week.  A weekly spelling test will be passed out on the day of the pretest. Please help your child study for the weekly test which will be given the last day of the week, usually Friday.

The week's list can be found in the spelling list section to the left.

  • BIRTHDAYS

PLEASE NO TREATS THAT CONTAIN PEANUTS OR ARE MADE IN A FACTORY THAT MAKES TREATS WITH PEANUTS.

Birthday treats may be brought in on or near your child's birthday.  If your child has a summer birthday, treats may be brought in anytime throughout the year.  Please keeps treats simple.  Individually wrapped treats without frosting, seem to work the best.  Ask your child for the current number of students in our room.  Please be aware we have children in our room with food allergies when sending in treats.
