Check your child's take home folder every day for handouts, homework, and/or announcements.  Homework is assigned as needed in all subjects.  Students are given time at the end of each day to fill out planners with the day's homework. In addition to any assigned homework, students are required to read/study math facts for at least 15 minutes each day.  If your child is absent, an absent sheet will be prepared.

Daily homework assignments are listed under the homework  section to the left.

Students will be given a pretest on the first day of the school week. Students who receive a 100% or 93% on the pretest will not be required to take the unit test for the week.  A weekly spelling list will be passed out on the day of the pretest.  A copy of the list will also be available on the website.  Please help your child study for the weekly test given on the last day of the week, usually Friday.
Weekly spelling words can be found on the spelling section to the left.

Every student will each be given the opportunity to be the Star Student for a week.  To complete this activity, students will answer simple questions about themselves and share the information with the class.  Students will need to bring a picture for this project and an item for show and tell.  All pictures will be returned at the end of the school year.  The first Star Student will be chosen in October.

Birthday treats can be brought in on or near your child's birthday.  If your child has a summer birthday, treats may be brought in anytime throughout the year.  Please keep treats simple.  Individually wrapped treats, without frosting seem to work the best.  Ask your child for the current number of students in our room.  Please be aware we have students in our room with food allergies when sending in treats.
